She is a university graduate lawyer, a doctor of legal sciences in the field of social security law.
She has several years of practical and theoretical experience in the area of social security law, for many years she has been employed at the Ministry of Labor, Family, Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities, where she was a member of various expert working groups. In the desire to advance and expand the expertise, it took over the management of the sector for recovery, control and analysis in the Public Guarantee, Maintenance and Disability Fund. She also acquired expert knowledge in the field of elderly care as a director of a private home for the elderly.
As a habilitated assistant at the Faculty of Law of the University of Ljubljana, she taught students of undergraduate and postgraduate studies at the Faculty of Social Work, University of Ljubljana in the years 2011 to 2014.
In 2014, it established a private Institute for Long-Term Care in order to raise the awareness of the importance of healthy aging and the prevention of dependence on the care of another in the future.
She completed her doctoral studies at the Faculty of Law of the University of Ljubljana.
She acquires her expertise as a member of the Society for Labour Law and Social Security, the Law Society of Ljubljana, the Slovenian Association of Palliative and Hospice Care and the European Institute of Social Security.
She has an international certificate in the care of older: Caring for the older person, A partnership model (Deakin University) and an international certificate in the field of telemedicine: eHealth: Combining Psychology, Technology and Health (Twente University).
As a lecturer she regularly participates in professional education in the field of health, social security and labor law, and is the author of professional articles on long-term care.
Since 2016 she has been a lecturer at the Slovenian University for the third life cycle. Since September 2018 she has also been a senior lecturer at the University of Novo Mesto, Faculty of Health Sciences.
Since September 2018 she is also a senior lecturer at the University of Novo mesto, Faculty of Health Sciences in the 2nd level master's program in Law (Integrated Health and Social Care-Legislation in Health and social protection). At the 1st level (study program Nursing), she is also the holder of the subject Health and Social Legislation.
Since 21.4.2021 is a member of Slovenian Strategic Council for Social Policy (hig-level expert body, established by the Goverment of Slovenia)
She is also author of the legislation with commentaries for the first Long-term care act in Slovenia (published in 2022).
